Build the repair plan.

A real repair plan depends on the vehicle, the damage, and the applicable manufacturer procedures. Parts, refinishing, and any required checks belong in that plan.

Review the work before pickup.

Ask the shop to explain the completed work and any relevant inspection or calibration documentation. The finish is one part of the handoff.
