Describe a visible opening, crack, or change from a safe distance. Do not probe, climb, or remove bark.

For a hanging limb or an unstable-looking tree, keep clear and seek prompt professional guidance.

Record nearby construction, digging, soil changes, or visible movement around the tree.

If the tree or ground has moved suddenly, stay away and use urgent guidance.

Keep people and pets out of the affected area. Do not try to move a tree or limb near a wire.
