Where they are
Eleven sites, none more than twenty minutes out.
A diagram, not a map — sites are placed by relationship to each other, not by coordinate. Addresses and hours are in the table below, and those are exact.

What we take
Four things, and one honest list of what we can't.
Glass
Bottles, jars, drinking glass, window glass and mirror. Rinsed is kinder but not required, and lids can stay on. This is over half of everything we take by weight, and it is the one material Detroit curbside will not touch at all.
Textiles
Clothing, bedding, towels, offcuts. Torn and stained is fine — it becomes insulation.
Electronics
Anything with a plug or a battery. Data-bearing devices are wiped in front of you if you ask.
Hard plastics
Crates, toys, garden furniture, buckets — the rigid things no curbside stream accepts.
Not this: household waste, food, garden waste, tires, paint, solvents, medical sharps, or anything pressurised. Detroit Public Works takes the first three; the rest need a hazardous-waste day, and we will tell you when the next one is.
Before you drive
Check we take it.
Tell us what you have and we will name the two nearest sites that will accept it — and say so plainly if none of them will.
