Do I need a custom app or a website?
A website mainly explains your business and helps visitors contact, book or buy. An app is useful when people need to sign in, save information, manage records or complete a repeat workflow. Describe the task first; the smallest useful solution may be a website with one integration.
What should go into the first version of my app?
Start with one complete task for a clearly defined user. Specify the screens, permissions, data and integrations needed to finish it. Features that do not support that task can wait. A usable first version is easier to evaluate than a large collection of unfinished features.
How much does a custom app cost, and how long does it take?
Apps are quoted after the scope is defined. Users, permissions, payments, data migration and integrations affect both cost and timing. Your proposal sets the fixed price, milestones and review steps for the agreed scope. The website package prices do not apply to an app automatically.
Will the app work on phones?
A responsive web app can work in a phone’s browser as well as on a computer. Native iOS and Android apps are separate deliverables with their own testing, distribution and maintenance requirements. Choose the platform around what your users need to do.
Who controls the code, accounts and business data?
The handoff includes the custom code and agreed access to the deployed system. Identify the owner of the domain, hosting, database and third-party accounts in the scope. Data export, staff permissions and any licensed components should be documented so you understand how the app can be maintained or moved.
What costs continue after the app launches?
Hosting, databases, email, maps, payment processing and other services may charge recurring or usage-based fees. Maintenance and new features are separate work. List the expected providers and costs before launch, and review them against actual usage as the app grows.
